Autumn Salad

Walking around town and seeing the mesh of foliage amongst the ground reminds me of a damp, and sweet-smelling salad.

So, I have new stuff to upload HOWEVER there's no way I can scan these kind of pieces in. Aha. I recycled old art supplies cases and made them into canvases. Thus, there is a 3-Dimensional depth to them that won't fit with my current scanner.
I'll see if my camera can do them justice.
The series consists of 6 mixed media pieces based on some illustrations that I have uploaded before, and some new ones as well.
My intention was to make them into triptychs, but I'm not sure if the theme is too narrow. Is theres such thing as a sextych?

I understand feeling a bit crammed at times too. What are your final papers on? I have a final coming up and papers too, but ehh it will be okay. Hows art coming along? Do you love those classes? How about art on your own? I am not doing much art now =( But over winter break I will do soo much I hope =)

Oooh I agree. I cannot wait for winter actually I love it so much! The crisp, pure air..ahh. Good stuff. I am starting college too. i cannot wait..are you living there or at home? I'm going to live at college! What is your major going to be? I wish to minor in art, yet will major in environmental sciences for now anyways. oooh we sound anticipating!

Sorry for the late reply. I've been at orientation these past couple of days. It's a neat campus, very large. Aha. I was a bit dissapointed with the orientation; they hardly gave us any tours of the school, 80% of the time was used with pointless lectures about drugs, alcohol, sexual abuse, rape, sex, etc, etc. I'm going to commute there for now, because mostly I tend to treat this year as a possible experimentation to see if a public state school is good for me. If Im not happy, I'll try and transfer to my first-choice college. But we shall see. And yes, my major will be art. I would like to minor in either music, english , or psychology.
It's hard too choose! Well, freshman year usually consists of getting the basic classes done with, so I hope to get that finished so I can focus on art and elective for the rest of my year. I also want to see if I can somehow rent a cello from the music department! Hopefully I don't need to major in music in order to do so, hmmmm.

I hope they do let you use a cello! that's be great. It sounds exciting besided the lectures, i leave friday to move in, i cannot wait. College will be hard but amazing. It is hard to choose,, I don't know if I want art or writing a minor, we'll see haha. I'm glad your experiencing a lot and hope all works out. tell me how everything is when you have the chance =)

Things are going very well! Just living by these dog days of summer. I can not wait for fall!
I love the weather, and I already have a couple concerts planned and stuff. Plus I start college, so that's always an experiment-in-the-making. Hah.

Dreams are amazing. I think it would be really something to create art from those dreams. Don't you? You could use charcoal and draw yourself with the mannequin, or perhaps pencil. You could use color pastels, water color, oils, to pain yourself healing your sister as her insides glow and blood pumps faster. You could even just branch theses ideas into different pieces. Or you could combine them with a few other dreams and make some wacky, insane, amazing piece that only you kn ow exactly what it means. If you ever do it you gotta post it! I might try to the next time I have a really insane, intense dream but my last one was odd, yet not great things for art..nothing really that I'd want to create from, yet I could branch it off too.

Sorry if this is long, but I get truly excited about these things. And you never have to apologize to me for a long comment, I love reading, the longer, the better haha.

Have you had any other dreams in the past few days? I haven't really =( but it's bound to happen soon! So what have you been up to, anything fun? Any more art in the process of being created?

Ahaha, dreams definatly are fun. I think I may try that idea, although I want to finish lots of pieces I've put off for so long. Let's see. I don't remember any dreams lately except when I was my sister trick-or-treating. The other little kids abandoned her, so I took her home with me. Heh.
